There is an old saying that tea warms you twice -- when you are holding the cup, and again when you drink it. You can explore this truth as you enjoy your wonderful loose leaf teas from Justea. Purple Leaf Tea is part of the tea family (Camellia Sinensis Assamica) that flourishes naturally on the equator in Kenya. The tea is low in caffeine and contains anthocyanins; the same antioxidants found in grapes, blueberries, pomegranates, and acai berries, used as a natural anti-inflammatory, to lower cholesterol and improve immune health. With tasting notes of rhubarb pie, exotic flowers and fresh vegetal undertones, the tea becomes a pinkish purple with the addition of a few drops of lemon juice. Perfect anytime is Little Berry Hibiscus, a delightfully fragrant organic herb tea vibrant and tart with the taste of Hibiscus and sweet berries. This tea will enliven your senses and your palate. Bursting with color and flavor, Little Berry Hibiscus is a blend of herbs, flowers, and berries that is wonderful hot or iced. Each tea tin comes with a beaded handmade olive wood tea scoop.  Included are MiniMinit biodegradable filters to steep your tea to perfection. To enjoy with your tea is a combination of eight assorted 1.5 oz. Fat Badger cookies: Toasted Coconut, Chocolate Sea Salt, Sweet Raspberry, Chocolate Mint, Oatmeal Chip, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Chip, and Cinnamon Sugar – dunk if you like. This delightful sampler arrives packed in a striking fair trade handmade suar wood tray. The sleek lathe-turned, sanded suar wood tray is made by members of Mitra Bali (read more about them below) and the tea scoop is a product of Kenyan artisans who carve the spoons from scraps of wild olive wood. Committed to conserving the slow growing trees, they use every possible bit of the dense wood to create durable utensils. The tray is polished with protective low-gloss finish. Natural tones vary. Hand wash.
