glassmakers in the West Bank city of Hebron use recycled bottles and a family
secret to create these uniquely beautiful fair trade glass cruets with
signature swirls in shades of aqua, gold and green. Established in 1890, Hebron
Glass is owned by a few Palestinian families who have preserved the traditional
craft through generations. Fair trade partnerships have helped with access to new markets.
Because of the special skill and care involved in creating the pieces, in the
past they have been reserved for wedding gifts. The cruets hold approximately 8
ounces and are ideal for keeping olive oil, vinegar or dressing. Hand wash.
