Lovely fair trade lokta paper card set from sustainably harvested Daphne plants in the heart of the Nepal Himalayas are made using a centuries old technique. Bhaktapur Craft Printers fund community development, water supply sanitation and resource conservation, and provide day care and education opportunities. Lokta paper, valued for its strength and durability due to its long fiber, ability to withstand extreme weather conditions and insect attack, is still used in Nepal and Tibet to record land deeds and other legal documents that last for generations. You can practice the centuries old method of communication with them, use them in keepsake books, for special occasion invitations or frame them to admire their beauty. Handmade and hand dyed, each card is unique and may vary slightly in color and thickness. Six different cards with envelopes are packaged in a large lokta paper envelope. | ||
